Oh what a night!
Wow! What a night! We were incredibly blessed with the ministry of Dr Jimmy Smith - God moved so powerfully! My David was knocked off his feet and I had my face on the floor, crying my eyes out (well they didn't actually fall out) while Roy hit the deck under the heavy weight of God's glory.
What an amazing adventure we are living - and what an amazing time to be alive. History was made in our church tonight - there was a supernatural collision between heaven and earth, and God's purpose for our lives was revealed, confirmed and reiterated.
Haggai has been such a prophetic book for us recently and Jimmy quoted a piece of scripture from it tonight. Read the whole book, it's so enlightening concerning our church at this time.
You know, God sees the bigger picture for our lives (in fact He doesn't just see it, but He plans it for us). Listen to what Paul says..."I can't tell you how much I long for you to enter this wide-open, spacious life. We didn't fence you in. The smallness you feel comes from within you. Your lives aren't small, but you're living them in a small way. I'm speaking as plainly as I can and with great affection. OPEN UP YOUR LIVES. Live OPENLY and EXPANSIVELY!" (The Message Bible 2 Cor 6: 10 - 11)
Whether we like it or not, there is a spotlight upon this House (our church) and I believe God is using it to awaken hungry hearts to His goodness. So, don't draw back but rather lean even more into the things of God.
Let's all take responsibility for this strategic time in church life as we see these lives transformed. Let's "lose the baggage", "resist mediocrity", "stir up the gift within" and let's make the Father so proud to call us His own.
